A Leprechaun and Some Golden Grillz

Monday, March 17th, 2008

Posted by Nadia Nascimento

In the spirit of Saint Patrick’s Day, we hunted down what we consider to be a pot of viral gold. These lucky folks in Mobile, Alabama come out in fantastic droves with magic lutes and all, in order to get that little bit closer to the the real green. Cash that is. Well, gold.

Video of the Week avec Nadia

Friday, March 14th, 2008

Few video’s find their way into my heart. This gem not only makes me want to be a better person, but it also has encouraged me to believe in my dreams. One day I’d like to provide my Beta video editing skills to the world but I have to be realistic and acknowledge the competition that lies in the foothills of the Okanagan. I can only wait and learn from the best. Now pour yourself a nice glass of buttermilk and enjoy my weekly find.

Moveon.org Launches Obama Video Ad Contest

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

Posted by Jenn Lowther

Moveon.org has just launched a new ad contest to see who can make the best political ad for Barack Obama - Obama in 30 seconds. They are asking all “filmmakers, writers, directors, actors, editors, composers, graphic artists, and animators: Whether you’re a total amateur or a total pro, now is the time to use your creativity to help Barack Obama win.” The winning ad will be aired nationally and will receive $20,000 in video equipment.

This campaign is drawing on the huge internet support that has surrounded Obama’s campaign thus far - youbama.com, the two Will.i.am videos, Obama Girl, the list goes on. So get your camera’s out, come up with a great concept, get involved, and get seen.

This is the second time that they have run an ad campaign like this, the first was in 2004 when they ran Bush in 30 Seconds. The entries they received were awesome (well if you’re not a fan of Bush they are) and the winning ad was one of the most viewed ads of all time.

Apparently KFC Isn’t Endorsing Hillary Clinton

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

With all of the primary election fever going on in the States, it’s inevitable that people throw their allegiance to one candidate or another. Or, in the case of KFC, just letting everyone know who they don’t support.  I’m in for a Hillary special…I wonder how much it has increased business?
