Wind Blows Voting Countdown Has Begun!

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

It’s official - we will be taking no more entries for the Wind Blows contest. The voting countdown has begun. Contestants, voters and wind energy enthusiasts have 60 days to get their votes in before the $10,000 prize is awarded to the video with the most votes.

The competition is pretty stiff already, with our top video well over 1,000 votes, but 60 days is a long time to make a difference. Send your favourite videos to your family, your friends, your workmates, and get the word out. You can vote for more than one video - in fact you can vote for every video once - and so can everyone you contact.

If you missed the entry deadline for Wind Blows but you’d still like to make a video for a good cause, check out SPUD’s Play Safe, Eat Organic contest. And, as always, keep an eye on Memelabs for future contests and updates.

Everyone Knows that the Wind Blows

Tuesday, August 1st, 2006

Memelabs has launched Wind Blows, an infectious new environmental campaign for Western Wind Energy. It’s a video contest, allowing entries up to one minute in length in any video medium. The contest will be judged entirely by votes, and the earlier you get your entries in the longer people have to vote for them!

Voting will open as soon as the first few videos are posted. So make your video now, and get blowing! The winner will receive $10,000 in cold, hard cash. $10,000 to promote environmentally sustainable energy? It makes you feel good in your heart and full in your wallet.
