We here at memelabs spend quite a bit of time on the internet and one of our favorite things to do is pass around funny memes that we come across. We thought it would be fun to put a list of some of our favorites.
This lent itself perfectly to a quick pop quiz. So take a look at the list below and see how many you recognize. There’s no point in cheating as you’re not going to win any prizes

0 – 10 Internet n00b
11 – 20 Beginner – You are still stuck on chain letters and you’ve yet to realize that no one in Nigeria really wants to send you money.
21 – 30 Not bad, you’ve got some pals but your Gmail list could use some work and you’ve got 45 friends on facebook.
31 – 40 Awesome but you probably spent more time cutting and pasting these into Google to jog your memory.
41 – 50 You may need to get a life in the real world…welcome to the club!
51 + I call cheating. But cheating at Solitaire is lame and not like convincing your friend landing on free parking gets you money.

I scored 47- and know that I should go out and get a life. But seriously, by comparison, my life is worlds better than the Lightening Bolt wizards frolicking in the woods. Comparatively, I am as cool as Kelly Kapowski was at the prom her final year.

Interesting, I’ve been online since 1992, made it my job, and spend at least 3 hours a day surfing and still score only 16 points. Perhaps I’d better take one of them Nigerians up on his offer.

I only got six but: I’m European, I’m way over 40, so I probably missed all the puberty/twentysomething stuff.
OTOH the internet has been my daily work since 1993. So go on, feel important if you get a high score, but this test tells you more about your age and cultural background than your internet savvy-ness..

The thing is, there are thousands and thousands (hundred thousands?) of internet memes out there, however briefly or eternally they may have been popularized. There are some memes that are even treated as if they aren’t memes, but in reality are.
Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that any attempted list of memes, however excellent or “complete,” will only scratch the surface of the world of inside jokes spread across the internet.
